Here I am again, adding a few ATC calendars I've made this week.  It's bitterly cold here in the Central Belt.  We even had some snow this morning but thankfully it hasn't come to anything.  I hope you are staying nice and  warm wherever you are.

This first one is an easel atc done by guess work I found this really difficult so the other two are just like a small card.  Much easier to do.

Flowers lace and butterfly from my stash

The stamp used here was free with Craft Stamper
embellishments from my stash

I used Seedless preserves distress ink on this one.
the dragonfly stamp was from a friend, lace and fower from my stash

coloured with distress inks added a stamped image from an IndigoBlu
Christmas set and some old fashioned scraps I found in a drawer

Background is Dylusion ink spray lemon zest

Hello Folks, I didn't manage to get crafty at the weekend but did get quite a bit of blog hopping done.  Today I made a baby card for one of my atc buddies who became a grandmother last week.  I had no baby embellishments at all so had to get a baby image of the net.  After trawling for some time to find an image I liked I thought I wasn't going to be able to print it off after my printer refused to work.  Finally it obeyed instructions and this card was the result.

Square card base topped with a layer using Tied together embossing folder.  Image from Google layered on 2 shades of pink card.
top and bottom has pink ribbon
pink flowers,  lace ribbon and pink jewels from stash
Spellbinders Circle and  and scalloped circle  Sentiment done on the computer and 2 shades of pink card and there you have it.  Hoping to get all my Christmas cards ready for posting  when I go to the shops tomorrow.
Hope you are all well and getting in the Christmas spirit.

Hello Crafty Friends, hope you have managed to stay dry  and warm today.  We've been lucky here it was a beautiful frosty but sunny day.  Pity the sun goes down just after 3pm. though!   Well it has taken me more hours than I care to think about but I eventually managed to put 1 card together.  I can't really work with these small cards 4" x not quite 6"  I had so many ideas but nothing would come together. I finally settled for this one.  White card embossed with the Spellbinders M-bossabilities Christmas Folder EL 014  scalloped and plain circle dies, Memory box Leaping reindeer.  The stamped image is one I've had for a few years not sure where it's from but it might be Tanda Stamps and sentiment is a Marianne die
Thanks for visiting my blog and for the lovely comments you leave.

It's been almost 2 weeks since I was last in blogland.  I hope everyone is well and enjoying lots of crafty time.  I've made a couple of cards last night and this afternoon.  Earlier in the week I tried making box-envelopes for some of my more embellished cards.  That didn't quite work out, I didn't have any instructions to follow so  it took me a few tries to get it almost right but not quite good enough to give to anyone, so ended up just making boxes for them.  It made making my cards seem easy lol!

This Art Deco lady came free with the Docrafts Creativity magazine.  I stamped it on to a plain white card.  I used my Tied together embossing folder on a 5x7 card which was mostly hidden by my stamped image, so I dry embossed  a polkadot pattern around the image added some flowers, jewels and home made beaded pins.
I coloured in using promarkers

The 2nd card is another variation with die-cuts and card candi.  The image was coloured using Distress inks (Peacock Feathers and Shaded Lilac)

Christmas card, plain card embossed using Spellbinders M-bossabilities Christmas folder EL-014  Mariane snowflakes,  Spellbinders circles, scalloped and plain, printed sentiment from pc, left over sticky backed jewels and an image from my stash

Thanks for popping by, enjoy the rest of your week.

Evening crafty friends.  I hope you have all had a good week.  I managed to make a couple of cards this week but I think I spent more time cutting out with the GC thank actually crafting.

These cards are smaller than I'm used to so found it a bit difficult to get my ideas to work out.  The image for this one was a  gift tag I found from last year matted and layered on to an embossed card and using various die-cuts
.
Memory box corner and leaping deer, Cheery Lynn holly corner and Spellbinders  layered poinsettia  Marianne greeting all used on the second card

I can't remember which stamp set this image is from, I'll look it up tomorrow but right now it's time for my bed.  Hope you all have a good and happy weekend

Hello folks, thank you so much those of you who sympathised with me on my loss.  Still can't believe it.  But I have tried to keep up with my card making.  I've not done a lot though.  I did a lot of die-cuts and moved a lot of things from here to there and back again.  Finally a card came together today.
I used some die-cuts   - Marriane, Spellbinders and Cheery Lynn.  Flowers and beads from my stash.   The scripture verse is from   Our Daily Bread stamps Scripture Collection 1  which I got from Oyster Stamps when I was at the SECC a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks for any comments you leave and I do hope you have all had a great weekend

A very quick post from me tonight.  My lovely companion for the last 13 years (almost) took ill last Sunday and died on Monday.  So this page is for him                   Last winter having to get carried home after a long walk in the snow.

Waiting patiently for me to finish cutting his hair.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend

Saturday, October 27, 2012

Good evening Crafty bloggers.  It has been a very cold day here but thankfully the sun was shining so it looked lovely from indoors.  I have completed one card today but I started it last night.  I have been using some of the dies and stamps that I got at the SECC on Thursday.

The stamps are from the "Joy to the world" set from IndigoBlu.

The Dies I used;
Grand Gothic stained glass, Frostyville border,  Snowflake corner all  from Memory box  I painted glue over the border and corner and added some Glamour dust but it has not shown up in the photo or scan.
A Sizixx embossing board was used to get the background snowflakes ( I had to drag out the big shot for that one) and I used a labels 3 for my sentiment.  I stamped the image with Versamark and then used a Pan pastel to colour.
Well thats it from me for now.
Hope you have had a lovely Saturday and may tomorrow be a great day for you all.

Second card used green card stock, layered the image on purple, orange and yellow card. Die cut border and corner using Spellbinders Parisian Accents and some Card Candi and stamped greeting.

A card for a DC friend who had a wee boy this week.

Hello bloggers, hope you have all had a good week and have an even better weekend.  I made one card this week and it was a struggle.
I'm still not sure I like it, well to be honest I don't but it took me 3 nights to make so it will be going to some one.  Thanks for popping by and for any comments you leave.

A quick visit to my blog tonight as I've spent too much time over on DC and FB  already and my neck is giving me gyp.  Hope you have all had a lovely week with some nice weather.  It was a lovely day here today very warm in the sun and out of the wind but as soon as the sun went down it got really cold really quickly.
This fat page is for the swap over on DC atc forum
the theme was night time.  The Michael Powell Front
looks peely wally in the photo but is actually a lot darker as is the sky on the reverse side
Thanks for popping by, I shall visit your blogs tomorrow.

A very good evening Friends, I hope you are all having a good week and getting crafty.  I have made 2 cards this week.   One male card (or so I thought) and an 18th birthday card for my eldest. granddaughter.  I hope to get a bit crafty again after I've posted this as I have a couple of fat pages to do for the swap over on DC.
My son chose the above card to give to his daughter.  He thought it was more her than the pink and girlie one that I made for her.  She loved them both so I'm happy.  Well thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such lovely comments.  I will be around to visit yours over the weekend.,    Anne x

Friday, September 28, 2012

Good evening Crafters, well it's Friday again.  Is it just me or is it coming round quicker every week?.  It's been a wild and wet day here with lots of extra heavy downpours.  I made my first Christmas card this morning.  I used a Michael Powell stamp, one that can be used at any time of year.  No xmas lights or trees on it so used a die-cut snow-flake and tree.  I embossed the main card with the M-Bossabilities  Holliday Magic.  I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing and de-bossed my card by mistake but it still looks okay.   Off to do a bit of blog-hopping now.  Hope you have all had a good week and I wish you a great weekend.

One more card I made last night using the Marianne oval die, flower and  card candi from my stash.  Stamped greeting on to white card  and added to red card, easy peasy.  Hope your weekend is going well so far.  I'm away over to DC for a wander and join the blog hop.  TTFN

Friday, September 21, 2012

Hello to all you crafty bloggers, it's another friday night so thought I should add photos of this weeks  crafty projects.  I made 2 cards and decorated an MDF heart.
I used some Tim Holtz papers as a backing.  The colours were quite strong so I dry brushed  the heart with some gesso and stamped  with a few random stamps.  Added a few die-cuts a bow and a rosette.
This card was made using my new Marianne large ovals, tied together embossing folder, paper flowers ribbon card candi and sticky back pearls from my stash
This card was made using my Marianne Anja corner (borrowed my friends corner and it made cutting out the square a lot easier)  Flowers and greeting from stash image came free with a magazine quite some time ago.
Thanks for visiting my blog and any comments you leave.  I hope you all have a lovely weekend

Good evening Crafters from a very cold Central Belt.  I've had to put the heating on it's so cold.  I hope it's warmer where you are.
I had a little play with my Splodgeaway mat and think I didn't do too badly for someone who could never get the hang of brayering.  I'm a long way from perfect but I was happy with 3 of my tries .  I shall have to watch Barbara Gray a few more times to get the hang of how she makes her hills.  I used one of my finished pics on this card for my Bro-in-law.
I used a mix of stamps from many vendors but the tree and giraffe are from Tanda Stamps and the tribesman is a Clarity stamp.
Background paper came from a friend, string card candi and greeting from my stash.

Thursday, September 6, 2012

Evening Crafters, it's been a miserable day here today but I have brightened up the end of the day by having a little hop around the blogs.  So much wonderful inspiration out there!  I noticed I have a few more followers, so welcome ladies and thanks for any comments you leave for me.
I made this card for my sister, I couldn't for the life of me get started on this one.  Kept coming to the craft table, mind would go blank and I would spend the day/night moving things around. Finally it all came together yesterday just in time to give it to her today.

I used a square card blank.
Blue gingham backing paper
blue pearlised card
Marianne Anja corner die
Memory box leaves die
Marianne small butterflies die
torn paper flowers inked with distress inks (rusty hinge and weathered wood)
Card candi  and greeting

Thanks for popping by, hope you all have a good weekend.

Before going to bed last night I had a burst of inspiration and made this card.  It's for another of my church friends.  It was very easy and quick to make as I had done all the die-cut last week using Spellbinders Marianne, Memory box and Cheery Lynn dies.  The image was left over from some wrapping paper and the backing paper was from a DC forum friend.   Thanks for popping by and for any comments you leave.

I have made 1 card today, my goal was three but the others will have to wait till tomorrow.  This is a sympathy card for a family at my church.
Used my Spellbinders crosses,  Marianne butterfly, Creallies daisy, home-made pins, computer generated  sentiment embossed all added to an embossed white card.  Thanks for popping by, hope you have a good week to look forward to.
