Last upload before Christmas

That's me finished with this years cards.  I have enjoyed making them (except when I had a deadline)  I still have an insert to put in the last birthday card and then I can get on with my fat pages and atc's.
Thank you all for visiting my blog and commenting on my cards and atc's.   I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2012.  The first card was made using free paper and image from Creative Cardmaking magazine

The letters are from a Tim Holtz die as is the daisy, little bird, card candi and pearls from my stash.

I also used free papers greeting and image from an earlier Creative Cardmaking magazine.  I love the silhouettes.  Die cut oval is a Marriane Designs  die. Flowers and cadi from my stash.

A very quick visit

to my blog today to add these 2 ATC.  Both are for swaps on Docrafts.  I still have a couple to do and I have Fat pages to do for the end of the month so really need to get my nose to the grindstone.  I don't want them disappearing into the Royal Mails Special Christmas black hole.
Hope all who visit are having a good weekend.  Thanks for any comments you leave they are always appreciated.

Finished

well for now at least.  That's a total of 10 cards for the church sale.  To little time and too much pressure.  For next year a couple a month is all they will get. lol!

The silhouette stamp is one I got from Joanna Sheen,  I have a few of this type of stamp but "I" can't get a really good print from them, I've tried all sorts of inks
The ribbon was yellow untill I went over it with a promarker.  Flowers and candi from my stash the green ones have been coloured with a promarker.
The background paper is again from Homemade magazine.
The art deco image came from the back of last years calendar. The backing layers are are pink black GOLD and pink.  The green paper came from Homemade magazine along with some lovely free stamps

My latest cards

Three more cards for our church sale.  The pressure is on to get as many made as I can for this coming Sunday.
I've made no Christmas cards this year, in fact I've not even bought any yet.  How bad is that? anyone else at the coo's tail this year.?  I've usually got my cards written out by now and have calendars bought for all the family and at least one or 2 pressies.

Better get back to my card making as soon as I've uploaded the next card.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my cards and atc and for the comments you have left.

Another day another card

I am starting to enjoy making cards again so here is another one I made last night.  I hope to get another one started before my granddaugher gets home from school.

What a day this has been

I have felt sleepy all day.  I'm sure if I had closed my eyes I could have just kept going on automatic.  I had my prayer group here this morning and I almost dozed off, they hadn't long left when my grand daughter Lauren arrived home from school.  We had some lunch and after my cuppa was finished I think I dozed again only for a few seconds.  So to wake myself up I thought I had better try making an atc for one of my swaps. a simple matting and layering an image from an old calendar, added some tiny gems on the corners and some roses.  I made one last night as well, again very simple image with words added and then triple embossed to give it some oomph.

Almost forgot

it is my nephews birthday on the 10th of this month so had to rush and get a card made for him so I could get it posted.   All the little charm and the skateboard weigh so much I shall have to get my son to deliver it by hand.  My nephew loves going to the skate park with his BMX bike and skateboard so I hope he likes this card.
Charms are from my stash, bicycle stamp is one I've had for years and hardly used.
I pinched the skateboard from my granddaughter and removed the wheels before attaching it to the card.
The main card was put through the bigshot with a cogs mask.

In between

shopping and fireworks parties I managed to make
1 card yesterday while crafting with my granddaughter but today I have done
 absolutely nothing.
No housework no crafting and only a very easy cook dinner.  I hope to get a bit more industrious  tomorrow.

Just adding one more card, it has taken me ages to make in between crafting with my granddaughter.  I'm too tired to chat so off for an early (ish) night.  Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving your comments. They are always appreciated.

Just finished

these cards over the last couple of days.  They are for family birthdays.  Now I need to clear my mess ready for making cards for my church to sell for a couple of charities.  Not really looking forward to doing it  as the samples I showed them were  a very high standard (for me that is) so I'm worried I won't be able to keep it up.  Oh well nothing ventured nothing gained I suppose

Got some

I got some new stamps from Chocolate Baroque yesterday so had a little play around with them in the afternoon.  I'm not really into halloween but there have been so many lovely fat pages and atc on show on Docrafts that it put me in the mood.  Pity is that the spooky house is to big for an atc so I'll not get that much use out of it.   I also made 1 birthday card, I am very pleased with as it's the 1st time I've succeeded the way I wanted with the Clarity Silver Birch stamp.  Off out for the day so will not be crafting again till this evening.  Thanks to all you lovely peeps for taking the time to visit and leave comments.

And here is another

I have enjoyed doing these fat pages and am now ready to start my *****mas page  which just might get me in the mood for some cards as well.  I will need to clear the dining table and haul out the xmas stash to see what I have that will suit  a 4" x 4" piece of card.   This page is for my own collection, I have also made a poppy page for my fat book.  I've decided I am going to make 1 page to swap and one page to keep.

This is the reverse of my poppy fat page for Cazros swap over on Docrafts.  Wish I hadn't used my own handwriting tho' I should have printed a label like I did for my 1st page.  Ah well to late now.

I've spent

far too long blog-hopping tonight instead of crafting or tidying my craft area.  I did make a card last night to give to a friend.

Baking paper is from a Paper Cellar "Victorian Classics"
The paper flowers were made by Shika over on Docrafts
The stamp is from Dimensions Art Deco Ladies
Ribbon and card cadi from my stash

Once again

It has been ages since I posted anything.  I have finished Cazro's  alphabet stamp swap and have started on her Fat page swap.  This months theme is Orange and black or Halloween.  I don't have any halloween type stamps so have used my latest purchase "Tea with Alice" by Crafty Secrets

Here I am again.

I've not felt up to crafting much lately so I have only created what was needed.  A birthday card for my brother in law and an ATC for the Friendship swap over on DC.
I chose the bulldog image as my bro in law collects them and he is affectionately know as "The dug"
Friendship swap for September
Right I am off to do a zentangle atc for Cazro's Stamp technique swap.  We have now come to the end of our  second swap.  It has been really good to be stretched  to try out new things and I have really enjoyed both swaps.  The next one is to be a fat page swap, so that should be another good challenge.  You will see my efforts here in the near future.   Thanks for stopping by and for all your comments.

Struggles with card making.

I always seem to be struggling with making cards and it takes hours to get them just how I want them.  The birthday card for my sisters 60th was even harder as my last few cards were all much alike.   I tried to do something a little different but it turned out nothing like I had planned  Any way, it's done and I can get back to my atc's.

Some new additions

Some atc's I've made for hosted swaps.  I feel like I'm on a production line as I try to make up for the week and half I was unable to craft.  Hope you like them.
New stamping Bella stamp from Joanna Sheen coloured in using my new fine nibs on my promarkers

Both poppy atc's stamped then coloured with distress inks

Tree stamped and heat embossed in gold on to vellum for a hosted swap on Docrafts
Hydrangia stamped and heat  embossed in cold then coloured with promarkers

A few new additions

Once again it's been a while since I've added anything but I have made a few new bits and pieces.
This slide-mailer was made as part of a thank you for my winning a prize from the Luffy 11 meet hosted by Barjan from over on Docrafts.

It's been a while

Well it was really hard work making these 2 atc's.  I have been flat on my back most of the time  since Sunday and am completely bored out of my mind.  So got my son to bring my shower stool down to the dining room.  I was able to adjust it to give me a bit of support without making me worse.  So these atc's are nothing spectacular.  One has a stamped image the other an image from a paper-pad.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog and any comments you leave.

A CARD FOR A SPECIAL LADY

A dear friend over on Docrafts has been unwell for some time so decided to make her a get well card.
It needed to be tactile so there is Lace ribbon, embroidered flowers, heat embossed image, ribbled card, paper roses (made by All things Inky) and a little enamel bow on a chain with a bead and a metal coin which says believe.  So lots for her fingers to explore.
