Not long finished this card for my nephew.  I was trying out my IndigoBlu gilding flakes the other day.  I used  all my silhouette stamps just to see how they would come out..  I only have 2 colours Sheffield Steel and Copper Kettle.   They look brilliant when other people use them but I can't say that I'm that happy with the glue .  I bought them both a year ago and the one that was open has dried out completely even though the tub was closed properly.   Also I don't find the glue washes off the stamps as easy as the hype says it does.  Anyway enough of my moans and now to add the card.  Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Spellbinders dimensional embossing folder covered with bronze gilding wax but it's not showing up well in the scan.  Silhouette stamp was from JS. Sentiment is part of a free set from cardmaking in easy steps. Card and embellishment from stash.

  1. This is a great card Anne. Really stylish. I only tried the FlitterGlu on stamps once - and never ever again. I also find it very difficult to remove, and my stamps are just too precious. I now apply it with a brush for accents (but sometimes I just use a Quickie glue pen) or carefully onto embossed areas with the sponge for a more distressed look.

  7. Think the gilding turned out well, it can be tricky I have found too! Love the embossing at the bottom of your background. Maddy x

  9. It is a great card, I too like the embossed section at the bottom of the card. Not tried gilding flakes myself (yet) but it does look effective.
